OUTLINE OF THE PROJECT

The Nippon Foundation has been supporting three Micronesian countries, i.e. Palau, Federated States of Micronesia and Marshall Islands for enhancing their coast guard capabilities since 2008. The project is implemented in collaboration with The Sasakawa Peace Foundation, The Japan Association of Marine Safety (JAMS) and the governments of Australia and U.S.A. Under the project in Palau, a patrol vessel of 40m, berthing facilities and an administrative building for “Bureau of Maritime Security and Fish, Wildlife Protection” were constructed
Fisheries Engineering Co., Ltd. rendered full consultant services for design and supervision of all these constructions.
